Meet Our Pastors
Senior Pastor
Phil Lydick
Pastor Phil was raised in a Pastor’s home and accepted Christ as his personal savior as a boy in Longview, Washington. In May of 2002, when he was 24, Pastor Lydick was called to become a preacher of the Gospel.
He met his wife, Alicia, at Heartland Baptist Bible College in the fall of 2002, and they were married in the summer of 2004. God has blessed them with four children. Alicia was raised in a Christian home in Western Washington and accepted Christ when she was a young girl. She is a gifted teacher and enjoys teaching her own children and the children at our church in the Patch the Pirate Club, Children’s Church, and Vacation Bible School.
After the Lydicks received their Bachelor of Ministry degrees in 2005 at Heartland Baptist Bible College, they moved to Spokane Valley, WA, where Pastor Phil trained under the founding pastor, Duane Pettipiece, for nearly 8 years. When Pastor Pettipiece retired in April of 2013, the church called Pastor Lydick to be their pastor.
Pastor Emeritas
Duane Pettipiece
Duane Pettipiece was saved in 1954 while he was serving in the Air Force. After completing his service to our country, Duane went to Baptist Bible College where he earned his Pastoral degree and met his wife Carrol.

Following graduation from Bible College in 1959, Duane and Carrol moved to Great Falls, Montana and started a church there. After some time spent in Great Falls, they then moved to Spokane, Washington and started a church, then went to serve on staff of Spokane Baptist Temple under the leadership of Brother Gosnell. In 1975 God called Duane and Carrol down to Las Vegas, Nevada to start Gateway Baptist Church. After serving the Lord in Las Vegas for 20 years, God called the Pettipieces back up to Spokane to start Bible Baptist Church in 1996.

After pastoring Bible Baptist Church for 16 years, Pastor Duane retired in 2013.
Youth and Young Adults Pastor
Greg Boggs
Greg Boggs grew up in Bible Baptist Church since his parents moved to Spokane Valley in 1996 to help his grandfather, Duane Pettipiece, start the church. Greg accepted Christ as his personal savior when he was a teenager, and he has a heart to encourage kids that have grown up in church to examine themselves to ensure that they are saved. Greg went to college at West Coast Baptist College where he got his Masters in Biblical Studies before spending a year working with a missionary in China. When he returned from China, Pastor Lydick asked him to be the youth pastor.
Greg married his wife Angela in spring of 2020 and they have one son. Angela grew up in Spokane, Washington and accepted Christ as a young girl. For several years Greg and Angela hosted the youth group in their home before the Lord blessed the church with additional classrooms in our youth building. They still enjoy hosting the teens and young adults in their home.
Greg is bi-vocational and works part-time for the church.
Retired Pastor
Dan Lydick
After retiring from pastoring, Dan Lydick and his wife Terresa moved to Spokane Valley to join Bible Baptist Church. When they aren’t traveling to preach in churches around the area, they help in our music ministry, and are a blessing to our church. You will often find Brother Lydick teaching and preaching while Pastor Phil is traveling for missions trips.

Brother Lydick has also written a couple of books, including a complete commentary on the book of Psalms which you can find for sale at Amazon.com
